Howdy,
It's funny the little things you come across. Are the blue & red 6cyl water pumps identical apart from where the fan bolts on? I believe the blue has a fan interface the same dimensions as the v8 where the red is much narrower? Just need to know before I order the new one. I want it to go on a red 6, but bolt up to the clutch fan from the v8. Thanks for answering more of my dumb questions, maybe I'll be of some help to someone oneday!

Hi Biege.
There are 4 different Holden 6 water pumps, but the cut-off is not red/blue.
The early red pump (EH to HK) has the smaller PCD bolt pattern for the fan. The later one has the larger PCD (same as Holden V8). Around mid HX they introduced a |
