Hi all, After seeing the EHLIMO, and contemplating the EFI addition for 6months i have come to the conclution that I would like to add the EFI to my EH. Just a few questions.... 1.) What cost am i looking at for the complete EFI system to add to a 186 red? 2.) Is an Engineer required for leagle reasons? 3.) If the Engineer is required I think I should go the whole way and add the HR discs and R&P steer??
All adivce and sujestions would be greatly appreciated, let me know what you think and any adive on the install process.
Thanks to all who are willing to give me their time. To either respond or just read up to hear... |

If you have the space and time it will be cheaper, as you will get the EFI pump, harness, air box, relays, HEI dizzy etc etc. All stuff you probably won't get with the engine alone. Plus you'll get a good 202 bottom end as well and if you want to run a tr |

With the EHLIMO, we bought a VK Berlina for $400 and used all of the gear off that, including the Trimatic and injection fuel pump, as the VK injected trimatic has V8 clutchpaks etc. so is a better Trimatic to start with. We also needed some other bits li |

Damn that Johnny. At least I get $4k back for the squirt, which will be gone in Tacks within a year. |

Thanks Peter & Byron, Your advice has been a great help. The 'SIP Migmate 150 Turbo DP mig welder' is one option at $450-$600. A WIA 180 or a CIG 180, but then we're talking $1000-$1500. I can get the SIP from REPCO for around $500 last time I was in |

Firstly you cannot do any of this yourself, you need a licenced electrican. But, to run a 15A single phase outlet (GPO) (if that is what is required for the MIG) all you need is an additional 16A circuit breaker/RCD combo in your meter box, and new 2.5sq |

In NSW you need to make sure the work is inspected and tested by a licenced electrical contractor, and a NOEW filled out and submitted to the local network operator. I am a licenced electrician (called Qualified Supervisor - Electrican) and I'm allowed to |

That’s the plan I have in mind, friend of a friend is an electrician (cheapest quote), and I plan on helping him. He can leave the basics I do the time consuming stuff, then he will check it all and connect. But I know think I should have persisted at ge |
