is there anything i can put between the leaves of my spings to quiten them? cheers

Yes, there used to a be a formulated grease you paint onto them, don't know if it's still available though, I haven't seen it in years.
Another option might be silicon rubber - but only silicon, ordinary rubber will break down.

A lot of leaf springs have slip pads on them. A springworks will be able to supply, or fit them for you
