Hi All,
I have an SB Barina and the alternator has just been replaced. The battery was disconnected during removal and fitting of the new one. After starting it now runs rough and on the screen in the middle of the dash it shows CODE 1. Any clues? It only has 20,000k's on the clock.
TIA.

The "CODE 1" in the middle of the dash is the radio asking for its PIN, because the battery was disconnected.

The rough running could be many things. One of them could be a throttle body re-learn, in which case a quick run around the block may solve.

Other than that, if you still have issues check a few obvious things like a vacuum line or electrical plug that may have been dislodged while fitting the alternator.

If still no result, get someone to plug in a scanner to check for any fault codes.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Hi Dr Terry.
I took it for a drive after finding and punching in the Radio Code. It was still running rough when I drove off but after about 5 k's it came right.
Thanks Dr Terry.
Cheers,
Ron
