G'day fellas does anyone know a good engineer that could pass the ute when it's finished. I dont think a normal inspection station can pass it as the chassis is going to be cut and shut.

Also could anyone tell me the differences between the 307, 327, 350 blocks. I always thought that the blocks were the same but not real positive on that.

wWhat area are you in?

I think the street machine magazine site has a list of accredited engineers somewhere in it's realm.

327 and 350 blocks are the same except for the pre 1968 small journal 327 blocks - both the 327 and 350 have a 4" bore. 307's are all large journal, and are a different block to the others. They have a 3 7/8" bore. You can also make a 307 using a post 196

If it is sectioned correctly and done so it is of a high quality an well basically undetectable, then you should be fine. If it is obvious like a stretched chassis, then you will need an engineers report.

I want to put duels under the back so I reckon they will pick it. But it will be done properly, the chassis just has to be narrowed and sleeved where the spring hangers bolt on. Not a real big job but would like to get it complianced for peace of mind if

Expect to pay at least $800 for an engineers report these days. That's Vic anyway. I know in QLD you have Blue mod plates, and they are not as expensive, but I don't know if chassis mods are included at that level.

I have bolted a Subaru motor (non tur
