Can anyone tell me if you can run a series 2 inlet manifold on a V6 series 1 engine. Any info would be appreciated.

IIRC, the answer is no. Almost nothing interchanges between the S1 and S2 VN V6's.

Well I hope that it can be done because I intend to do it.

What I have been told to replace is inlet manifold complete with fuel rails, injectors & throttle body (although I have not found a difference in the TB's). There will also be some wiring ch

u can do that but u must use complete inlet setup as per what jim5.0 says

Hi Jim,

I assumed Geoff was just asking about replacing a manifold. If you change the whole system, I'm fairly sure they will swap, but not the manifold only.

Interesting thing with the throttle bodies.
They all appear to be the same....at least across the VN/Vp series.
I'm currently running a throttle body from a VN 5ltr on my VP V6, and it appears to be exactly the same as the V6 one.

They are the same fitment & work the same way - but the V8 one is a little bigger in throttle blade diameter. A popular V6 mod is to chuck on a VN-VS V8 throttle body.

The TPS switch on the side of the TB is the same for VN-VR V6, VN-VS V8, and also G
