Does anyone know of a LPG specialist Hastings/Mornington/Dandenong area?
She is a HQ 1TON full gas set up 253. On start up she tries to turn over, most of the time after 5-10 mins she will eventually turn over. Occasionally when this happen I turn the key to full ignition the car is dead although the battery is not dead. If I leave it sit for a while she will begin to turn over again. There is a smell of gas on these occasions. She has problems in the heat and also misses more times than not when I accelerate. I have had her serviced and tuned twice in 7 months and am getting no where. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers Cal

I'm no expert on this LPG but I do think that a Full gas set up will knock the daylights out of a General run of the mill Battery. As the GAS dose need to be Vaporized from the tank (liquid) before its induced into the manifold(Gas). If I recall there is

if you're turning the key to full and getting no electrics, check the connections on the solenoid/starter.

it really does sound like a dud battery if the starter won't turn your engine...this could be accompanied by a dud alternator.

If your engine will not crank over it has nothing to do with the LPG. Get an auto electrician to check it out. He will do an amperage draw test and check the voltage drop across the entire starting circuit.

LPG should not be hard to start in

I've had gas powered cars since 1989 and haven't had this problem except for a starter problem. Gas needs a good fat spark. I run a VH electronic distributor with gas leads and 1 colder NGK plugs at 1.4mm Runs and starts extremely well. Gas

You will find that the most likely cause of your problem is the ignition switch at the base of your steering colomb or poor contacts in your electrical system (battery terminals), I have had the same problem in a HQ 202, hard to start, or just no power at

Thanks for all those who responed with their advice. I ended up getting her towed and the problem was the ignition switch, coil and some dodgy wiring.
Cheers and beers
