Ok guys I am gonna buy a new cam for the project and have selected the Crow cams towing beastie as my weapon of choice, but now I know I will have to replace the lifters and may as well do the pushrods at the same time, I dont have a clue what to put in,
I have been told use std ones, then pump up ones then Anti pump up ones, and quite franky I am confused! and I havnt even started on the Pushrods yet! hehe
Also I am thinking of getting the head work done soon and would like to make sure everything will match so what should I be looking out for with that as well?
Matt

Don't port it much. Just use a 179 or 186 head with inlet posts removed. I've got one here already done if you want to buy it. It will need a clean and service plus hardened seats. Email me privately. I'll look for it tomorrow.

if your getting a new cam, you will also need to replace the standard timing gears with new ones, as the standard ones arnt really reliable.

Hi Matt,

Yeah, make sure you put alloy timing gears in her. They are noisier than the fibre ones but MUCH more relaible in the long run.

Also, I agree with Byron, don't go too big with your ports as you will lose bottom-end torque and, IIRC, you wan

I would just go for what Crow recommends for Lifters - Hydraulics. Push rods are pretty simple. Just go for stock length replacement 202 NOT 186 Rods.
