Professors

i have just got my car back from a service and found out i need a new steering rack and tie rod ends. I would like to get some power steering so my girl can drive me back from late night outings occasionally. Is the normal steering rack the same as the power steering rack? would this be a good time to find a secondhand power steering unit a put that in? Has anyone done this before? how did it work out? was it a waste of time and money?

cheers

Rohan

What kind of shops do you find reconditioned steering racks?
Im planning to put a much better engine in the future. Will this mean if i put PAS in now it could be a waste of money because i will need to get different parts for PAS for the the new engine
