One day my ute was going fine the next it is spitting fuel out of the carby. i've been told many things (timing, needle and seat coil etc etc) Has anyone encountered this problem and how to fix

Where was the fuel coming from? Most of the time it is either a blocked needle and seat, or too much fuel pressure.

it's coming out of the top of the carby where the air filter sits on top. The needle & seat look fine (my opinion)

It is a Holley or a quadrajet. If its a holley, try adjusting the float levels.

Its a 350 Holley and I've tried to adjust the float levels and fuel keeps coming out of the hole on the side its a 253

Once you have fuel coming out the side, you know your float is set - tighten your nut up and put the bolt back in! I've got a 350 holley that used to do that and its not float level (mechanic wouldnt tell me what it was back then!!).
