Hi
I have dropped a EFI V8 into my WB
I dont appear to have enough room for my air con as it is touching the steering box.
Has anyone got any suggestions on bracketing or placement to avoid deleting it all together
Any info would be great
Cheers

If you are running both the power steering pump and A/C you may find it easier to just get the pulley kit from V6conversion, think they are around the $300 mark..... I've only done V6's so cant say for sure if there is another way.

are you using the VN style power steering?
if so it should leave enough clearance.

VN Calais, V8 Auto, Blown etc etc.

Air con, Electrical, Car audio Master.

I have the same problem with my HX.
I want to see if it is possible to modify the VP commodore aircon braket so the pump will clear the steering box.
Im thinking to either shorten the bracket to raise the pump or modify it to make the pump sit closer to

Thanks for your input.
I am going to sit the engine in and go from there, i think modifying the brackets is probably the way to go.I will post another reply when i have a solution.

Another option might be to use a smaller aircon pump.
My wifes daewoo matiz has got a very small pump that might be okay to cool a ute but mostly likly not a sedan.

I have a few ac pumps and the one off the VS is a very small one, must be efficient though as it is stock.

Thanks for your reply...
Looks like i may use an RRS (Revelation Racing Supplies)style pump as they are not much bigger than a coil.
Cheers
