will all of the parts off a 253 go onto a 308 block, ie heads, cam, everything, can i put everything from a 253 block into and onto a 308 block. if not what will and wont. thanks

From Memory which Isnt that great I dont think you can use the heads Or The Cam But I think everything Else Is the Same ie fuel pump water pump Alternator and the Manifold Is Different also

Heads are identical as are all bolt-ons (with the possible exception of the gearbox if the 308 is a Turbo Pattern Block.
Crank, pistons and cam are different.

Everything within a generation is interchangeable or the same except for the pistons & rings. By generation I mean within a particular evolution of the engine eg HT/G, or WB/VC/VH. Even the cranks interchange, however the 308 crank has heavier counterweig |
