LJ's run a course spline Banjo diff, usually a 3.08:1 ratio. If you have a standard 4 speed, stay with the 3.08 unless you do minimal freeway/highway driving, then go for a 3.36:1. If you have a 5 speed with an overdrive 5th gear, run a 3.36:1 or 3.55:1.

Some LJs have fine spline axles, but AFAIK the fitment was limited to the Bathurst specials, possibly only the 1973 versions and onwards. I think you can readily get them made by converting Gemini axles by either changing the stud patterns or putting an L

Depends upon the tyre size, what aussie 4spd it is and what sort of driving you normally do.
