I have just got a VK wagon just for the motor to into my WB ute, I am just wondering what I need to keep out of the wagon to set it up in the ute, and is it hard to set up the computor and fuel pump to the power.

Pretty simple you need the engine wiring harness, the fuel pump the relays out of the box under the bonnet mainly the 9 pin relay and its socket and the wiring to it, which is on the engine harness. I cut a large hole in the firewall next to the steering

Use the trimatic too if its the original one, as they are are better box than any other 6cyl trimatic. It will mean changing your T-bar to a TH400 one though, and probably using a V8 WB speedo driven gear (just check whats on the VK to give you an idea). |

They have taken it out and stuck a four speed witch is a bit sloppy, I am thinking of putting in a Supra 5speed. Is the auto computor the same as a manuals.

The VK EFI engine was only available new as an auto, so there is only 1 type of computer as far as the gearbox goes.
There are different computers - an update occurred when the diff ratio was changed from 3.08:1 to 3.23:1 with the Borg Warner diff intr |

Cheers Mick it just that when they took out the auto they left in the module for the T,and if you move it you have to make sure that you have it in the right pos.

looking at the wiring diagram there is only two white wires. The large white one is the power for the injectors and the small white one is for the trip computer in VKs. I can foward you the wiring diagram if required

What is your problem with the pump? What vehicle are you putting the efi in? Main thing is to run a fuel return line back, mount the pump as low as you can, use fuel filters.

I think the pump wire is purple. gregorys is excellent for this , much easier to follow the circuit than the factory manual. Also the wire to the injectors breaks into two parts just near rear of the head, it seems there are two sets of wiring, one to eac
