Gents<

I need some help on sorting out if the Body IDent.. Plate which came with a HK monaro that I brought is actually from a Monaro, I think it may be from a HK prem, but in saying that the 16677 part of the body number is in the original GMH Owners book which came with the car.

The plate reads:

Body HK737A-16677B
Trim 1150-14X
Paint 587-1704

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi Mon 1968.

That ID plate is from an HK Monaro GTS automatic, body made in Brisbane, that was painted Silver Mink Metallic & had Light Teal interior trim.

In HK the body number doesn't tell you if it was a 6 cyl or a V8, so in this case the car was
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks Dr Terry,
The monaro is a 186S with all of the details you replied with.
I thought the body number should start with 80737, 80837 or 80337 for it to be a monaro but mine starts with HK737 ??
Is this common??
Regards and thanks Bradley

Normal for a Brisbane built HK. The 327 Monaro had HK837 on the BODY plate on Brisbane built examples.
