Isn't Blue darker than Red? :-))

Watch your fuel guage...they can run out of fuel while the gauge shows that you still have fuel in the tank. Holden have a fix. Take it to a Holden Dealer and they'll be able to check if it has been done.

Don't lower

you need a rear camber kit to lower any of the IRS cars and stop them scrubing out the tyres.

If you do lower it, use smart spings not just heavy duty lowered. They ride real hard with ultra low H/D springs. Beware of low profile tyres, wet roads and kerbs. I have changed lots of bent rear control arms on the IRS models

Hi Paul,

Even with a Camber Kit, apparently the earlier IRS Commodores like to chew out the inside of the rear tyres...thankfully, mine is a VY2 with the extra arms ex-factory.

Have tried a few times this week to call, but always get a busy tone...w

Hi Danny,

Your VU2 is roughly equivalent to a VX, I think. Does it have the teardrop type high beam lights?

A couple of ways to go mate...

Holden will pick up LS1Edit as soon as they hook your car up. Apparently, they can't pick up the HSV 285 kw

Mines a VX2 Berlia. Add cold air induction. I have the HSV style in mine that takes air from behind the headlight. Remove the turtle cover so the intake doesn't get so hot. I've got tri Y extractors, 2 1/2" dual system, Mafless tune.
After the tune it

What a machine, and economical on the highway!
I have replaced the exhaust, it's not too noisy, just nice.
I'm getting cold air induction soon.
I had a problem with the dash so when they fix

You can have the program in the computer that runs your motor (or motor/gearbox if auto) overwritten with different data so it runs the motor differently (mainly by using more timing advance and injecting less fuel than a stocky).

Have a look at "Australian LS1.com", as if you just go LS1.com, there is an American LS1 site. While it's good to read as well, the Aust site obviously deals in Commodores, not just engines either.
