Option C49 (heated rear window) appears to have only been available from the HJ series onwards but my information only covers Monaro's and not Statesmans so this may not be completely accurate.
I would imagine it to be a simple task to fit a HJ-HZ rear

Over time I have had few HQ sedans. None had this option and the screen was bare. However there was a kit you could stick on yourself.
And yes I do believe the HJ was the first one to get it, and yes the HJ ones should fit. I just never bothered to se

Hi Guys.
Just to confirm that the HQ Statesman had the heated rear screen as a factory option for the Australian market in the '73 & '74 HQ series.
The SWB cars, Kingswood, Premier, Monaro etc did not get this option until HJ.
