Hi, can someone give an answer on whether all the HD range had ball joint front, or was it introduced sometime during the model. Thanks

Hi Guys.

There were actually more HDs made with ball joints than king-pins. All HDs produced from Jan to May '65 had king-pins, then all HDs from 1st June '65 to early '67 had ball joint front ends. When the ball joints were released, the disc brake op

Hi Guys.

A correction to that last post.

It should read "then all HDs from 1st June '65 to early '66 (not '67)had ball-joint front ends".

Hi Peter.

AFAIK that is correct, also I've never seen an HD ute or van with king-pins.

Kev I agree with peter_smol. I have checked HQ HT LJ and LH and only HR is Right for HR. Even with longer bolts and the upper control arms pressed on to the frame it was just not right.Spend the bucks and get the HR stubs its a lot easier in the long run.
