Is there any chassis or part no's stamped on a HK monaro subframe. Replacing old rusted one with HT. thanks.

No. But HT is different from HK, and there are two different HK subframes. None of this matters if originality isn't your concern.

Early HK are smooth on the driver's side where the LHD battery goes, later HK have a notch so LHD vehicles' battery can be mounted on the RH side. HT and HG have outriggers to mount the gearbox crossmember on to, HK's have the crossmember bolted to the fl

Hi Byron.

AFAIK both LHD & RHD HK/T/G have their battery in the same place. All the battery & starter lead part numbers for LHD & RHD are the same.

I think the reason behind the notch was to do with taking up excess metal in the metal-pressing proce

Again you learn something new everyday. I put 2 and 2 together and got 5! The prseeings are basically the same though, so I suppose it's an easy mistake to make.

Thanks guys. My monaro was delivered on 24-12-68 and the only differences I can pick is the extra brackets besides the headlights and the out riggers which I will be removing.
