Hello all,

I have a VU series 2 ute and my frontbar got damaged recently. I have been considering having a bodykit put on and now seems like a good time to do it... but i have a few questions that i hope someone here can answer..
1. is it easy/hard/possible to change the headlights on my VU to the more recent headlight models found on VYs etc?
I ask this because many of the bodykits (frontbar in particular) require the newer style headlights to fit.

2. will a newer model bodykit (like the SSX one found at http://www.capa.com.au/accessories_kits.htm) fit properly to my VU with the original VU brackets?

I hope i haven't confused anyone. Any help would be appreciated, and if anyone has any suggestions for which bodykit to go for, feel free to let me know your thoughts!

Cheers

VX Berlina, Calais & HSV had different lights to the VX & VU - without the teardrop, and only require the matching bar & grille from a Calais, Berlina or HSV(VX Clubby, Senator etc)

I think the VX Clubsport uses Berlina headlights, like a VX GTS.

That's correct Byron, they do use the Berlina/Calais lights, so you'll need to change your headlights.
They don't have the teardrop on them, and the inner edge against the grille is a sharp edge - like a VY headlight.

Here's what a VX Calais looks lik

Make sure it's a good fit, and sufficiently attached to the reo to prevent is from flopping about, causing fatigue cracks.
