I have fitted a 308 to my tonner and when I started it there was no oil pressure. This motor was running sweetly when I removed it 14 months ago and has not been touched at all since.
Pulled off the oil pump and found no oil in there. Blew ait through the oil pick-up port and could here oil bubbling so assumed sump pick-up is all in place. Can anyboby help with advice on the problem.
regards Dave.

could be a leak on the oil pick up to block face.

did you try priming the pump by filling thru the sender hole with oil?

that's how i prime my pump, some people pack them with grease but the JP instructions said not to do this, rather fill the pump

Thank you for your advice. I will try priming through sender hole. This may sound silly but would I do this with the motor stopped or running?

kind regards

Thanks for the advice, I may now go straight to the grease option.
