does anyone know of a do it your self wheel alignment method ? its on a hq holden cheers

Use a tape measure at the front and rear tyres to set toe-in to 1/8" total. Use a spirit level to measure the camber, ie the verticle angle that the wheel sits at.You want both wheels verticle or a couple of mm inwards at the top. Use the shims to get th

i used a spirit level to check camber and found the top was about an inch in at the top on the right and only one shim at the back on the left it was a half inch in at the top and not enough shims to pack it out in other words somethings bent what can i d

Hi john.
Add extra shims to the left hand side to make them both about 1/2" in at the top.
There is no easy way to measure castor at home, so once you've got it close enough to drive down the street, go & get it properly done by a guy who knows how |

Yes you do use the spirit-level verticlly but make sure it is reading off the actual wheel rim.If you just put it against the tyre, the bulge at the bottom will not give a correct reading. Use a piece of timber with two 3" nails sticking out, and the nail

Is this chart reliable? I know this is for Torana but may be applicable to the HQ-Z front end.  James
