Hi all,

Just wanting to know whether a set of 14x6 alloy mags from a VN will fit a base model VP wagon? A tyre joint here in Wodonga thinks that I'll need 15 inch wheels as the front brakes were bigger!! Is that true or are they spinning a tale to me to try and get a sale?? It's a friends car and they're away at the moment so I can't see the car, I thought they were running 14 inch rims but I may be wrong

Thanks

Peter

you can fit 14's to vn vp vr vs there all the same brakes and hubs and rotors you just can not fit them to the front of hsv's as the have a brake upgrade ther spining a big 1.

Hi Guys.

That's not quite correct hqmonaro. The last Commodore fitted with 14" wheels was the VP Series I. All Commodores from VP Series II onwards use the larger front brakes, that were previous used mainly on V8s from VL onwards (VL Turbo also). 14"
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Thanks to you both, I've got the wheel sizee now, they are 205/65-15 on the car, so maybe I'll need to run 15s. The car is a 1993 model, so I'm thinking it may be series 2, would that be correct?

Thanks

Peter

Hi Peter.

Yes, VP Series II began production in October 1992.
