Hi all I know its been done to death, and i have done and read the searches. I have the complete top end off an 5.0 efi VN already and engine loom. Apart from the engine loom, what other wiring is required under the bonnet and under the dash? The vehicle is an HJ with GTS dash. Has anyone here done a wiring diagram to splice VN engine loom into the original engine loom/plug into firewall. Thanx for any help. Cheers.....Mario

I've planned all of this, but haven't done it yet (I cheated and stuck a Redline Hi-winder manifold, Holley and HEI dizzy on for now). But these are the things I have planned and figured out so far as far as wiring is concerned:

Byron's got it all covered. I've used the VN fuse and relay set-up and found it pretty easy to wire up. One thing to note is the VN uses negative switches for the headlights while the HQ-WB use positive. Once I'd figured it out didn't take much to swap a Edited by user Friday, 1 June 2007 7:58:25 PM(UTC)

Excellent. The beauty of using the Commodore fuse and relay box is that you can use the spare relays for things like headlights, electric fans etc. If you can afford $500 for a bit of hardware and can solder a socket into your Memcal you can also play aro |

ive done the conversion and it tedious but straightforward.
I run thermos by hooking them up as "AC fans", and sending an AC on signal to the ECU. Since the ECU was remapped anyway I had the cut in temp adjusted accordingly. Fans automatically come o

You could always weld bosses on. One way to save you some time - I have a Mcgee/air sensors EFI setup at home. It simply uses T-pieces and high pressure hose for the fuel rails. Something copied off that might be easier?

Hi Byron, I will be welding in the bosses on the manifold side and use the vp rail sections on top. Each end of the rails has the same fuel pipe insert so i can use the o-ring pipes and join it. Thought about the way you said and it may go that way,but
