im not 100% sure. but after you get the peddle box,cut the hole and change the some of your console. change the computer. it might be easier to sell it and buy a VS with a 5sp in it. VT are a really good price now so you could up date.

There is a wrecker here in Welly (NZ) who regularly sells and performs these conversions with kits on trademe. Might be worth looking at his listings, and /or giving him a call to see what is reqired

the diff ratio is the same. VS's have a T5 (well mine does from factory). You would need a manual flywheel from memory they have extra dowels in the for whatever reason.
The whole conversion will cost a fair bit (as above.. you'd probably be better off

Hello if u decide to stick with the auto make sure u replace it with a transmission with code number 6HDD or 7HDD. If u need a rebuilt performance trans with a shift kit and performance mods, let me know I build them and freight them all over Australia.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Big mistake Terry ????????????????? All VS autos are 6HDD or 7HDD in V6 the only other one is a 8HDD in VS series 3 ute. 4HDD is VR 1 5HDD is only VR 2. From what i read we are talking about a VS V6.

Hi luketroy.

My comment was based on the 4HDD number that the 3rd post (hqmonaro) mentioned.

What you say is basically true, except that the 4, 5, 6 etc changeover doesn't happen exactly on the model cutoff. You do get 4HDD autos in early series 2 V
