I'd go the second if you want it easy and cheap, plus you can use up to a 2000 model VSIII engine, not just VN.

A Chevy will be cheaper to build and has TPI available if you want injection. It will bolt up to a TH350 or a Chev powerglide without having to worry about bolt holes and dowel positions. You could also use the TH700 with the lockup convertor for the high |
You only have to be in front at the end of the race. |

You need a hell of, a lot of torque for a 3 speed, especially if you are towing anything. You can get a higher top gear and a similar lower ratio with 4 speed auto. 5 litre EFI T700.

You can't tow in top gear in an original TH700, that is one of their weaknesses. I'd still stick with the TH350 because: They are stronger and heaps less problem; Uses HT/HG V8 powerglide crossmember; Uses HK/HG V8 powerglide/trimatic/manual tailshaft |
