Hi Anthony.

A higher ratio which way? Higher geared, meaning a lower number, or lower geared, meaning a higher number. e.g. 3.70 is a higher number but it is a lower gear.

Anyway after all that, the VN/VP diff is a B/W 78 series & there are many gea

Thanks Dr Terry. I am looking to go hihger geared as we are hitting the rev limiter about 3/4s of the straight. What is the hemisphere that you said will need changing?
thanks again

2.92:1 is a very common ratio in Ford diffs. The 2.77:1 is also common but will require a different hemisphere (crownwheel carrier) due to the larger pinion gear requiring the crownwheel to be mounted further across.
