ivr got a 1964 xm faclon with drum brakes all round.... what i was looking for info on converting to disc front end. Which model stub axle is required and how much effort is required to do the changeover? After doing this does it need to be engeneered or is that only for the engine work ?

thanks steve

Well there is a common sleeve kit so that you can fit the whole brake assembly including stub axles from any XR-XG Falcon. If you use this kit though you will need five stud front wheels but still have four stud up the back.

hey mate. i've got a four stud disc front end on my xp donor car in my backyard. not sure of the condition but will have a closer look if you're genuinely interested. i assume it will pretty much bolt straight in to your xm. not sure how much its worth bu

Easiest way to convert is to use XF Falcon stub axles/disc & calipers, only thing extra needed to bolt these up is tapered sleeves for the outer tie rod ends, I can supply these for $50pr. These can be picked up at any wreckers cheaply and have less wear

As Deon says, go the XF stub axle mate, nice modern brake set up, and the parts are readily available.
