Hi can any one help having trouble getting the pulley of the shaft on my v8 vp calais

I use 2 really large screwdrivers and put them one on each side behind the pulley and pull forward on one then the other .. On one car I even managed to get the flat part of a spade behind the pulley and screw driver on the other.Ive even tried to use th |

do I have to take the hex bolt out first or does that come of with the pulley or is that part of the shaft thanks for your reply

These power steering pumps are exactly the same as what Ford used, The hex is in the shaft itself not a bolt. If you look deeper into the hole you will see threads (useful to put the pulley back on with using a bolt & some washers).
