Why is an ethanol hose any different than standard? . . . . You could use a high Silicone hose if youre worried.

Apparently ethanol can break down rubber components such as hoses and seals.
Most large auto manufactures do not recommend running more than 5% ethanol blend fuel in their cars but our government in it's infinite wisdom have decreed that 10% is OK.

I know a fellow who was using ethanol in an XF years ago (he works for a producer) and it not only chewed out the fuel hose, but also took out the needle & seat, and the mechanical fuel pump diaphragm.
When he converted it to EFI, he had to get special |

Hi Guys.
Modern EFI hose is fine. The petrol companies have put out some very negative info about ethanol, most of it with no basis in fact.
The older style rubber/neoprene hoses will be affected, mostly because they're already 20+ years old & crack |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
