Hi guys, am new to this forum but was hoping someone out there could tell me what to do to get my brakes working on my xc coupe... its been sitting for several years and i've just managed to get it running today.

However brake pedal goes straight to floor and my attempt at bleeding brakes not working... I think i've pumped the pedal at least 5000 times and nothing comes out at wheel cylinders nor does pedal get harder. somebody tell me its an easy fix???

thanks

It's a bit hard to say but assuming everything is still in working order are you sure you're bleeding the brakes correctly?

Give us a quick run down on the procedure you are using.

I've put car up on stands and wheels off.
was on my own so just undone bleed valve at right rear and took cap off master cylinder, hoping it would just gravity feed through.
Went away and done some other work.

Came back few hours later and not a drop

My ZD sat around for ages being rebuilt. I fitted new everything for the braking system except for the steel lines and that's where I hit a snag. They were blocked with solidified crud. I put a rag over the end and shot compressed air through them to c
