Hi anybody out there know the conversion of newtons to newton metres ?

Mate if you want to do any conversions at all download and use Calc 98 from here http://www.calculator.org/download.html type in the number you need to convert then click unit then select what you want it to do click ok and there is the answer. Its fr

You cant convert Newtons to Newton metres, as a Newton is a force whilst Newton metres is a force acting over a moment arm ( ie. torque). But yes if you want to do conversions, the special programs are best such as hq ss suggested.

A newton is the unit of force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram one meter per second per second.
I think they are the same thing!

Newtons is just a common abbreviatiom for newton metres, also nm, so don't sweat it.

You dont "convert" them as such, but one lends itself to another. It is pretty much like asking how do you convert feet per second to horsepower. You cant, but if you apply the feet per second at the end of a bar or wheel, then you get horsepower at the |
