Hi anybody out there know the conversion of newtons to newton metres ?

Mate if you want to do any conversions at all download and use Calc 98 from here http://www.calculator.org/download.html
type in the number you need to convert then click unit then select what you want it to do click ok and there is the answer. Its fr

You cant convert Newtons to Newton metres, as a Newton is a force whilst Newton metres is a force acting over a moment arm ( ie. torque). But yes if you want to do conversions, the special programs are best such as hq ss suggested.

A newton is the unit of force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram one meter per second per second.

I think they are the same thing!

Okay here we go:

Newtons are the SI (system international) units for Force, F. International units are pound-force, lbf, used by the yanks.
Newton metres are the SI units for Torque, T. Internation units are pound-force-feet, lbf-ft.
