what's the best manifold to suit a quaddie for a 202? also can i get adaptor plates from redline, and would spacers give much gains in performance?

Boom On my 202 reds I have always had Cain manifolds. Which are duel pattern manifolds (drilled to suit spreadbore and squarebore) So the Qjet just bolts straight on. There is a pic here http://gallery.oldholden...Our+HR/P5120013.jpg.html

John Cain no longer makes them. Hardiman (Redline) have most of his moulds and sell the manifolds.

You could try and get a 4 barrel SQ bore holden 6 inlet, you should get one if you advertise.... then put a $25 adaptor for the spreadbore on to fit the Q-Jet.

No. Only for Red. There is little point using a single carb on a 12-port head, and little market so no-one ever really bothered.

Yes, but it's a dreadful manifold. I think you can buy a 2 barrel adapter but a 4barrel one will be a waste of time as the stock manifold is only a 2-barrel. You'd be better off putting a red head on it and running a Redline manifold.

holleys are crap compared to rochesters. 2barrells anyway.

what if i cut off the 2bbl flange and welded/bolted on a 4bbl rochester flange from a 253/308. would that work?

Yes, but the manifold is still a piece of cr*p. Have a look inside at the path the centre cylinder's fuel/air mix has to take. If you're going to start cutting/welding cut the engine flanges off a Redline 4BBL manifold and weld the VK ones on and die grin |

byron you've done it again! is the redline manifold the best choice?

what about a 12 port redline 2bbl with the 4bbl carb flange welded on? or is it a completely different manifold from 2bbl to 4bbl.

I don't think anyone makes a 2 barrel one for a blue motor either. In any case the 4barrel manifold looks very different to the 2 barrel one. Look at http://www.redlineauto.c...S_TO_SUIT_6_CYL_ENGINES
