Is it possible to buy new the small loom that goes between the coil and distributor because mine has become very brittle and the insulation is falling off.

I doubt it, but its not hard to make your own new one with some wire & a few crimp terminals.

Quick fix that'll get you by and save you from a fire would be to put some 5mm heat shrink over the whole thing. Still the same old wire inside, but at least the insulation is ok then.

Shouldn't leave it like that forever, though - Mick's spot on with
