Is there any variation in design of stock cast iron 308 exhaust manifolds?
If so, does any particular model have the outlet further forward than any other?
I'm trying to overcome some clearance issues.

There are a few basic types eg HQ, Torana, Commodore. Which side is the problem side?

I think I have HQ type, with the outlet pointing to the the rear?
Doesnt work in a 60s Commair Bus!
An outlet pointing straight down would be good.
Is there such a thing?

I can't remember for sure (would have to look at all the ones in my shed) but one of the Torana ones differs for the same reason, so look at an LH/LX Torana engine bay. Also you might want to investigate block hugger headers. I'm not sure if they are avai

Thanks for the tips, good to know there are some variations.
Will check out a few engine bays.
Swapping let to right might help too.
Cheers.
