As the heading suggest I havea VK Calais 202 efi that is having a variation in RPM's while it sits at idle. Idles fine then raises a few revs then drops back to idling fine and after a few seconds will do it again. Engine has been rebuilt, fuel is a bit low but I dont think its enough to worry about, still 3 red marks on the guage. Any suggestions?

When the green flag drops the bulls@#t stops!!

Could be heaps of things electircally;
TPS - idle contact, AFM (wiring or vacuum), control unit, Air temp sensor (in AFM), coolant temp sensor, Aux air valve circuit, ign coil - control relay circuit, inj circuit.

Faulty EGR, vac advance setup wrong.

ok will double check vacume hoses, may have missed one or have a split. The change in RPM is not consistant just seems to happen then a minute or so later happens again.
