Most VS3 statos I've seen were the regular VS2 type motor, and I saw my first VS3 179kw only a couple of months ago.
I think it may have been cloudy on here who had a HDB 195i VS3???

Because the utes hung around longer than the VS3 stato, you find t

Just to add to that.
WH was introduced around June '99
VU ute was introduced around September 2000.

Just found the pics of that VS3 stato with the 179kw motor - it's a March '99 - probably one of the last ones.

Cheers,

Mick

Hi Guys.

To my knowledge the one sequential motor that was not fitted to the VS III was the HSV 220 kW 5.7 Stroker.

It appears that Holden quietly introduced the 179 kW sequential motor into VS III production in Nov '98, but the 195 kW HSV/HBD versi

Hi boom

You'll note that I used the words 'regular production'.

There were 2 limited edition runs of SS utes for the VS III in '98 & '99.

But the first regular production SS ute was for the VU series from Dec '00.
