started doing brakes on conversion, and it has a spring contraption, conected to the diff, and body, have been told it is for more braking pressure when under load,? problem, could not get one pipe out of spring gismo, so have connected system in straight, without regulating gizmo, Q, will this mean everytime I hit the anchor,s my back wheels will lock up? If so, is there any after market type gismo, i may be able to use? should i need too? thankee fur yur assistance.

Hi basketcasebear.
It sounds like you are describing a load sensensing proportion valve. These were fitted standard to late HZ & then WB One-Tonners & all utes from VG to VS. Many other brands of commercials also have them.

Hi dok Terry, it is a 3.35 AU diff in a 98transit, transit has one as well,,cant decide which one to use, au or transit, probably use au one, as will be easier to get these in future. I was trying to figure out, how to set it up properly, for height an |

i moved a pipe off the disk brake assembly, and lost the little washer from it, what would they be called?? pipe washer? need to order one? might be a stupid Q, i suppose? thanks already

Hi Mr Bear.
Do you mean the copper washer where the brake hose attaches to the caliper. They are just called copper washers & the size should be 10 mm.

yep, thats it dok terry, Copper?? I remember it, did not think it was metal? but now i know, should be able to get one, did not even think it had dropped off, untill i filled the brake fluid up, and found one side leaking. thanks
