The 2V head gives the standard 250 quite a bit more punch. Some say a well tuned one will pull even with a 302. I don't know much about them though I have heard there is a bit of a demand for these heads from the USA as the 2V is pretty much an Aussie o

A 2V head can be put on a 221 & 250, will also fit on earlier ones but no great advantage. The yanks are now producing their own new 2V heads, from memory are alloy.

Hi, My understanding of the 2V name is related to "two venturi" as they were fitted with a two barrel carb (they also have a bolt on manifold instead of the cast in "log" type on the regular cylinder head. My friend had an XY Fairmont with a 2V 250 in it

Hi XM, Superoo falcon spares in Perth have several acres of old heaps around their premises. They may have one in the corner somewhere. Google them for their site and drop em an e-mail.

Superoo have been fantastic in the renovation of my XP. Even their freight charges to the East Coast are reasonable.
