Can any one tell me how may HP it takes to rn a trimatic. I was told a turbo 400 uses 50hp and a turbo 350 uses 37hp. just wandering if i should go a trimatic in my ute instead of a th400? which one will get more power to the ground?

trimatic will definitely use less power than a turbo 400. how much, i am uncertain. but i think you'd lose 20% through the driveline with a tri, don't quote me because i am not 100%.

WHy would youloose more through the drive line with a trimatic rather than a turbo?

thanks for all the info guys it seems you cant go wrong with either box if get the right one the only real trouble ive had with them behind a 6 is there sensativity to vacuum thumping from 2nd to low and destroying everything behind it unies and banjo dif
