hi all, im lookin at upgrading the breaks on my HJ kingswood, im pretty sure they are the stock breaks disc on one end, i was told that its a good idea to upgrade just wondering if any one could give me any pointers is it worth doing?, hopefully something that wont break the bank.

Hi Boris if its mainly used for daily driving give them a birthday by getting better pads change the fluid to a higher performance one, finally new front rotors if needed maybe dba sports.

so just a bit of a service and some new rotors and they will be alright, thats alright, would that set me back much money wise, whats a set of rotors worth ?

check out some of the ebay rotor prices some are cheaper than the auto shops, ring around and check ebay as the prices vary a great deal for the same brands.

Rotors are about $75 to $200 each depending up what you get. Go to the Disc Brakes Australia website and have a look. Fit new wheel bearings whilst your at it, get the front calipers pulled apart, cleaned out and a new seal kit fitted, new fluid and new r

Upgrade ?? Those brakes should be fine. I find my HQ Prem can outbrake the Calais. Has a better feel, feels solid and no crappy ABS to get in the way.

Maybe change your pads (front & rear), and make SURE that the rears are working and adjusted properly

thanks for all ur help fellas, i will take it all into consideration, i mean there doesnt appear to be any thing wrong with the breaks at the moment, i was just told that its a good idea to upgrade, think ill just get the pads changed and things like that
