Hi Guys.

There is something odd with the way that 'PACIFIC' & 'MADE N JAPAN' is marked on the rim.

It's strange that it's in reverse & it's also concentric with the valve hole. Maybe a tyre pressure monitoring sensor has left that mark.

the rims have been painted before by the looks.
Maybe painted, then a Japanese made tube inserted? leaving forensic evidence

I agree with Adam. It does look as if theyve had tyres fitted while the paint was still soft. Wrong caps for a HQ too.

I agree with Adam.I reckon they all had inner tubes installed for a long time and at the base of the valve you have the hard rubber mould that had the Pacific/made in Japan on it.

HQ lion is the wembely lion (short tail), (egyptian lion) used from 48-end of HQ. HJ -HZ had the newer lion with a long tail.
Genuine short tails are hard to find, repro decals are available.
