hey on the small block chev why does the crank pulley differ between whether you have a short or long water pump

????

also what bit do i need for the harmonic balancer

the 3 main bolts ???
and what is meant for the center ???

Hi dylan.

The longer water pump puts the v-pulley groove further forward, so you need a different pulley that lines up with that.

What do you mean by - "also what bit do i need for the harmonic balancer " ?
