I was needing some help with engine mounts for a 283 chev motor out of a 69 corvette. i was wondering if the mounts on the 283 block are the same as the 350?? in saying that do all carbied 350s have the same mount positions??

AFAIK, all SBC Gen 1 motors have the same engine mounts from 1959 onwards.
Pre - 1959, they mount simular to the old 138 grey motor design.

A1 Bogan.

Basically Adam is correct. There are different mount adapters, but the mounting positions on the block are the same.

i thought the early 1955 - 59 block didnt have the 3 holes on either side to mount, i thought they were blank?

Why do these early blocks command such a high price if they mount the same??

I'm 100% sure you are correct. Early blocks had no side mounts. All later blocks are the same, just the mounting adapters differed.
