I nothing ive tried has worked.

If you guys would just give me advice on what to try id really appreciate it.

Ive put his leads on another car and seemed fine .
replaced spark plugs with new ones.
Done compression test and all very close in kpa.
Done points and condensor.
tried my rotor from xw and my cap from xw.
Tried a coil from mk5 cortina. I think they are the same but not positive.
Ive taken fuel line off and pumped petrol into a bottle and looks clean and seems to pump fine.
I took the needle and seat out and they are all steel not like the rubber ones u get today but there is a round ring where it seats.
I blew through it and it appears to work but unsure once its in the car.
When I have air cleaner off and push accelerator pedal the carb squirts but the part it hits when squirting makes it spray out the top a bit, not sure if thats right.

Simptoms it sounds like its running on 3 cylinders and its poping and farting and black smoke pouring out the back.

After taking the dizzy out ummm its worse opps what have I done lol.

As many pointers as you can think off would be great as im all out of ideas.
Cheers in advance

im no expert but all i can think of is you may have put the dizzy in incorrectly. so say cylinder 6 is on the exhuast stroke and the spark plug sparks as this is commencing and on another cyclinder it way be sparking as the cyclinder is on its inlet strok

Remove plug 1 and jam dunny paper in the plug hole, slowly bump the engine on the starter until the paper goes POP and shoots out, That will give you rough enough to TDC ignition stroke on cylinder 1. Wack the dizzy in with the rotor button facing cylinde

Oops, when I say start wacking them on I mean the plug leads,Follow this method and your 4.1 will definately gain up to 400HP and have E.Ts of around 9 seconds.

(note... to reach 9 second quarters, said car must be pushed off a cliff)

Could it be the dizzy itself stuffed? Or worse case senario. Could the timing chain have jumped? When did the car stop working and what was the engine doing when this happened?

I've not seen the 6 jump a chain but I have seen a clevo jump a chain. The engine was old and the chain was stretched though. What sort of symptoms would a stuck valve give?

I blocked the other vacume pipe on the inlet manifold and last night I tightened the inlet manifold.

Tried to start the car but no luck. It fires but wont go.
