Howdy people, first time poster so be gentle with me! Can anyone tell me if this is goya red? The trim code on the tag is 1174-12G. I'm needing arm rests for the front doors. Also, how much is the Chev power steering front end worth to buy for a Hk and last but not least how much are bumper overriders front and rear worth? No, this would be the last question, Bathurst Sump and pickup so that I can put the 307 in the kingy.. Cheers
Rod

Hi Rod.
1174 -12G is Pinaroo Beige (exterior colour) & Goya Red with Cressy Red inserts (interior).

Dr Terry. Some 327 and 350 sumps had a "flapper valve" in them to stop oil surge. The very eaqrly 327's did not have them, but it must have been a problem at some stage and they were all soon fitted. I am pretty sure that the 307 never recieved this va

The oil surge sump was fitted to many 307 4 speed cars in HK, not all 327s, or 350 manuals had them, not many 307 or 350 autos had them but some did.
So there is no 100% definetive rule on these sumps.

Ive got about 15 or so original 307 and 327 engines from HK and HT. None have a flapped sump.

yes they are all the same. bit harder to turn but not a lot, hence for sports models. I think Dr Terry has said before that the ex-power steer ones generally have less wear so maybe look out for one of them

If you do get a power steering, steering box and don't use power steer make sure you use a manual steer pitman arm.
