I'm sure there are many many more 'tosser' buyers out there at the swap meets than there is 'tosser' sellers..

I used to go to every swap meet in SA & VIC to sell. But now it's swap meets to buy only (if i go at all). Take the goodies home and bang str

I agree with you mick...maybe all the sellers should start putting price tags on their stuff and that will stop the insults either way.

I have been going to swapmeets for 20 years and yes its true that ebay is slowly killing the swapmeet scene.
I have sold and bought from them as most of us have but another thing that has been going on for a long time even before ebay is that other selle

ok, ok.. you have a few valid points as well Mick.

I been doing a bit of thinking about it all... and come up with some ideas of my own about buyers & sellers.

After talking to a lot of buyers it seems that MOST people dont actually have any money

Next time I`m at a swap and someone says I`d get $$ on ebay for this, I will ask them Have they ever been to an auction, then ask them to explain the way it works, If they have, the obvious anwser would be They start at a low amount and people bid against

Have to agree with you cloudy,the other thing driving up prices is that there is a mining boom on in W.A. and those guys can't get to swap meets and they are earning big bucks so ebay is pretty handy for those guys.
