i put new bearings and oil seals on my banjo axles and new seats in my housing now their leaking just a bit but i need aquick fix for rego any ideas plus can one machine the axle housings at the seal end to reco them cheers

when did cup and cone axel bearings finish? 72?
John, i normally put some permaseal on the axel flange gasket, (there should be a gasket there, but nowadays u rarely see them!)

Hi Guys.
Holden used ball bearing axle bearings from 48 (FX) up to HG & LJ. Timken tapered rear axle bearings were used up to VS (except IRS). They also used them is VY/VZ Crewman & One-Tonners.
The HQ used a tapered rear bearing.
