i dont know if i agree or disagree but byron is correct about the tags & spending top dollar if you are retaging a car to be something its not would take a lot of money parts & work & at the end of the day you cant fake a monaro coupe & if it has all the

The thing is, for HK they wouldn't even know. Whilst it's OK for them to make huff anf puff statements like that, they wouldn't have a clue what body those tags are meant to be on. And nor should they even care, as long as the body they are going on hasn'

it aint rocket science but i reckon that some how the buyer of this car would be happy to pick up the little shiny tags & leave the rest to rot you could say a loop hole so thats probably why your getting not much info hk premier 1968

I'd say that is exactly what is going to happen...post the tags and forget the rest. Now up to $5000, I wish I could afford to be that stupid with my money. It is absolutely illegal to mount those tags on a different body, I don't agree with it but I don'

As far as tags etc go, and im slightly off topic here, but I have had 2 LX/LH toranas that I have tried to get info on and the only thing that vicroads give 2 hoots about is the chassis number and engine number. As for the 3 comp tags they almost dont nee

When i registered my HJ Coupe at vicroads about 3 years ago,the bloke i had was switched on.He commented that the tags had been off the vehicle and the chassis No didnt match the tag.
He was looking for more "signs" and pointed to the body No stamped on

With the huff and puff the guys at the police inspection cant do anything about the tags on another body, is making it harder for a person out there restoring a car honestly.

It made me sick and angry to be treated like a criminal when they knocked me

the LX I have has a police chassis number and since I bought it ive changed the engine to a 253 so ill be keeping the rego sticker on the windscreen so they can see the old details. Im hoping its not gunna be too complicated....
